Aesthetic Impact | Nonlocality / Quantum Research: Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS)

Have you ever experienced “synchronicities?” Experiences that you can’t explain, but can’t ignore? Things you only tell your closest friends because people will think you’re weird? Guess what. You aren’t alone and you aren’t weird. You’re normal! Welcome to the world of the human observer and quantum nonlocality! Welcome to psi!

The Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) was founded over thirty years ago by Dr. Edgar Mitchell. Located in California, with an on- site lab, conferences, publications, (some sponsored by the National Institute of Health), workshops and research projects, IONS continually re-invents its mission of “advancing the science of consciousness” (Intitute of Noetic Sciences, “Vision & Mission”). With over four hundred publications in its digital library, IONS walks its talk (Macrae).

I think that Nightingale, with her love of statistical data would have been an enthusiastic supporter of the IONS website and research. Empirical data collected and matched to quantum systems would surely have fascinated her. IONS also offers several online psi games to develop intention, attention, and intuition. Logging in is important, as it allows you to track your scores and measure your progress, as well as collecting research data. You will find the psi games in the Research and Education area on the IONS website (Institute of Noetic Science, “Research & Education”).

The Halls of Healing are a challenge, but they reminded me of work. When I have the time to play, I prefer The Garden of Dreams. It is a fun, relaxing environment, with nature sounds and visuals. Once you have chosen the right key and move through the locked gate, you will find several games... “helping” a butterfly over to a bush, moving tiles back into formation and finding faeries in pine trees. The program is also set to challenge your abilities. I noticed the environment surrounding that butterfly is a lot tougher after I log in!
